When I first got my phone, a week ago, I could easily assign an existing picture to a contact. I could do it by editing the contact or assigning a picture to a contact. Now, I get as far as seeing the picture with the box that I can use to crop the picture, but when I hit SAVE I get the saving bar that indicates % saved, and it goes away and the screen goes blank. It used to go back to where I initiated the save. The picture never gets saved to the contact, although if I crop the picture the cropped picture gets saved to my pictures folder. I can't seem to assign any existing picture to a contact. This seemed to start when I loaded facebook app that took over my contact pictures. I have deinstalled this app. Any suggestions?
There have been reports of this because the FaceBook apps try to dominate the system and download photos from the facebook accounts and this can become a pain, have you tried going to contact and select edit from menu and add your photo by clicking the image icon next to name? Also under the contact name there is a option to disable and enable the FaceBook update option but since you downloaded the app and not using preinstalled app I am unsure if this works.
