disable 3g?

Is there a way to disable 3g coverage ..reason why im asking is because im in a spot where 4g signal is low and i can get good speeds with 4g with low signal. Because of this it swicths over alot but i wish i can disable 3g so it will force it to stay on 4g. I live in newport news,va and i need a stronger signal at the shipyard

There is a app caller LTE Toggle on market that allows you to select if the device use 3G, 4G or both....  Check it at https://market.android.com/details?id=com.xorcode.ltetoggle&feature=search_result

Got the app..but got a question i see all connections except 4g lte i see a unknown but i dont know if that means lte
