dropped calls

I keep getting cut off on calls customer service says area service problem but other droid works fine right beside me

There have been dicussions in the past of dropped calls with the droid device. If you do a search on the forums you'll see threads of it. Has the dropped call issue just been a recent thing or always an issue?

Mine was cause by the proximity sensor cutting off and my cheek hitting the end button.
