I've been running 4 email accounts on my phone since I got it a few months ago with no problems.
All my accounts except gmail show up in the universal inbox, gmail has a separate menu icon. In my testing, gmail seems to work fine; it sends and fetches email as it should, I just don't use the account for anything because I have three other accounts that suffice.
It's just stopped fetching email for the universal inbox. To get email from my comcast, yahoo, and work (hosted by godaddy) accounts that show up in the universal inbox, I have to open the inbox and refresh to get emails. Also none of these accounts will send email to anyone.
I haven't changed any settings, and I've pulled the battery several times over the past few days with no effect. Does anyone know what could get me back to normal; or is google trying to force me into using their email service?

Thanks for the reply. This was my first visit to the forum, so I've learned a lot from the experience. My phone just started working on its own last night. I didn't change a thing, but all the test emails I sent over the past couple weeks showed up all at once. Really makes me wonder where they've been.
