Hi everyone,

Is anyone elses phone not syncing their email today?  I've tried deleting my account and adding it back in.  I've turned my phone off and on several times.

Any ideas or suggestions?

This is what I did to fix it. When you re ad your accounts, select "other"

when setting up emails. Dont choose the lines that say AOL, Yahoo, Etc.

Choose "OTHER". Follow these directions and it will work!

ATTENTION!!! ATTENTION!!! I FIXED THE PROBLEM MYSELF WITHOUT THE VZW TECH

SUPPORT HELP! CAUSE I JUST STARTED GETTING THE ERROR SNYC ** WHEN I GOT A

NEW NFC SIM CARD. THEY STILL DON'T KNOW HOW TO FIX IT. BUT I DO!!!! Don't

screw with the settings on manually configuring your email accts or all that

other **. The ONES having the ISSUES on removing AOL account from your phone

without restoring your phone. Do the following STEPS and you will remove

the AOL or ANY other emails scyn you're facing issues with...

1st: tap on settings,

2nd scroll down and tap APPS

3rd: swipe your screen till the taps on the top shows "ALL" Apps

4th: scroll down till you find "EMAIL"

5th: Do the following in this ORDER: 1) click CLEAR CACHE 2) CLEAR DATA

3) FORCE STOP 4) CLICK HOME BUTTON & 5) FINALLY DO A BATTERY PULL

WHILE PHONE IS STILL ON TO RESET those that have the Razr Maxx HD HOLD POWER

AND LOWER VOLUME KEY DOWN at the same time till the screen turns black while

still holding the power button, let go the volume key, when you see the

droid logo let go the power button and your phone has done a battery pull

alike process. And just add all your email(s) back.

NOTE!!! Doing these steps will delete all your emails (YAHOO, AOL, HOTMAIL,

MSN, ATT, ICLOUD) from your phone EXCEPT your GMAIL ACCTS. IT WILL NOT

DELETE YOUR GMAIL ACCTS ONLY NON GMAILS ACCTS IT WILL DELETE.

I am having the same problem. Tried deleting the account as well with no results.

what email, gmail, pop3 email, yahoo, the more info you give the easier to help?

Ive had the same problem for the last 2 days! I cant get emails at all. Im about to go back to AT&T as I need my email for work!

It both my AOL account and my google account.  I have shut my phone off numerous times trying to reset it, I've deleted the email accounts and re-entered them but still nothing.  Very frustrating.  I may end up going to a Verizon store and seeing if they can fix it.

I just fixed my phones. Both my wife and I have  HTC incredible 2 phones. Our AOL accounts quit a few days ago.

First I deleted the accounts

then added back the accounts, NOT under the AOL heading but under the mail icon, or "other" if your phone has that option. mine has the one that has the picture of the envelope. Add in you AOL address and password and follow the instructions.

Then sync the acct and you should be good to go.

Cleared up the problem instantly.

This syncing issue is a recurring problem with verizon's email servers that pops up almost like clockwork about every 6 months since I started with them in 2006. It involves the built-in email app and seems to affect Yahoo mail most, but apparently other email providers are affected too from these posts. It usually gets fixed in a few days, weeks or months, depending on verizon's initiative to fix it, the phases of the moon and the alignment of the planets.  I just download the Yahoo mail app until the problem goes away, and then trash the extra yahoo  app once i start getting duplicate notifications again.
