My droid did an automatic update and now I have a ding dong ring whenever I get emails. How do I stop this ring? I previously just had a vibrate, now that doesn't work.

You have to open the email app, press menu, then (for your gmail app) more, then settings and find the notification settings or, for the other email app, press menu, account settings (you have to do this for each email address you are checking) and find the notification settings there.
