what gives, i manually updated to 2.2 and everything is awesome except that my facebook wont sync anymore. not synced with contacts, not getting notified when i get a msg or anything. is there something that i can do to fix this little issue?
It is a facebook app issue. There have been two updates in the last week or so trying to resolve this.
Check to make sure your app is up to date, and continue to check settings to see if they settings are set to automatically update.
Also, force an sync as well.
Download the new Facebook mobile 1.3 in the Android Market.

Go to MARKET. Tap MENU, choose DOWNLOADS. Facebook should show up with UPDATE in red to the right of it. You may have other programs waiting to update.
Facebook should work fine after the update.
NOTE: the facebook widget is a battery hog. Don't recommend using it until they figure out why. Just keep a Facebook shortcut on your home screen and check it periodically. The widget hasn't kept mine updated worth a crap since I got my Droid, anyway. I almost always have newer posts than what it shows when I go online to check it.
ok i updated my facebook app to version 1.3.2, ive tryed manually syncing, ive tried uninstalling fb app, ive even done a factory reset and still cant get it to sync with my contacts. what gives?? anyone else having this problem??
