How do I make my Droid X a hot spot

You'll have to add the tethering feature to your line, which is an extra $20 a month. If you already have that, there should be an APP for Mobile Hotspot on your phone

I believe (and don't quote me on this) that there are steps for this in the Droid X forum

I changed my plan how do I use it ? do I need something else?

Listed below are the steps to turn on your hotspot:

1. From the home screen, touch the applications tab (located at the bottom of the display).
   
   
2. Touch 3G Mobile Hotspot.
   
   
3. Touch 3G Mobile Hotspot.
    Enabled when a green check mark is present.
   
   
4. If presented, touch OK
