I think that app would be called Windows Mobile
If you want push notification, have hotmail forward or "redirect" the incoming messages to your Gmail account. You can also configure Gmail to check your hotmail account, however Gmail only check every 20 minutes or so, and the check interval is not configurable. If you set hotmail to forward to Gmail, the message will be pushed to the phone as soon as Gmail receives it. To solve your immediate problem (constantly saying there is a message) try deleting (or moving) all the inbox messages from your hotmail account into another folder and see if it still reports a new email. It may be a large message attachment that is not downloading either because of a setting on your email client, or a setting on hotmail. (I never have/will use hotmail so I can't say what configuration options are available.) If all else fails, give K9Mail a shot from the market. It tends to handle non-standards-compliant email (Pretty much *everything* from Microsoft) much better than the default email app that expects email servers to behave according to industry defined protocols.
