Ok I've got my droid x, I've purchased the extra $20 3G Hotspot. Now I need help!! I want to access my laptop through my phone but can't figure out how to do this! This is the reason I purchased the 3G hotspot, so that I could always be able to access the internet through my laptop. Can anyone help me with this! ASAP as I'm on vacation and need to work on some homework via the internet while I'm here! Thanks,
There is an app on the phone called 3g mobile hotspot. Run than app and your good to go. It is pretty self explanatory. My X has a shortcut on one of the home screens, and the app is also in the app drawer. It worked fine for me when I tried it out I got 2.5mb down and 500K up good luck
Forgot to mention. There is a 2Gb/month limit for that $20.00. Go over that and Verizon will punish you severly. I think it's like $.50/Mb over the limit. That can add up to serious bucks in a hurry, so lay be careful. Downloading a high def movie would bankrupt me!

You are correct about the 2GB limit for the $20.00, but the cost to go over is .05/MB. (5 cents per MB)
