no sure you can if your not rooted. if you are get root explorer and find the folder with the data and email it to yourself. OR you can foward each message to yourself.
My Droid is not rooted, and I use a free app from the marketplace called "SMS Backup". I love it. It takes all your text messages and sends them to your Gmail account. You can set it to sync automatically or on demand.
