do you have a lot of music or video on the phone? you can either plug in the phone via the usb and use it as an external disk and wiev all of the files and move them where you want, or get a file explorer app (i use estrongs explorer....i have heard astro is good too) which will allow you to view all of the directories on the phone and the sd card. also, in the camera settings you can change where it save your pics. change it to save them to the sd card.
fyi...i've recieved those messages before too, but have never had any issues loading apps or installing more. sometimes i'm inclined to think that the message isn't even accurate.
