Honestly, I think you should just go to a Verizon store and check them out first hand as far as their feel & look to you. Whether you like the virtual keyboard vs. a hard keyboard, etc... I *LOVE* the DROID X - have had it for 3 months now with zero issues. It is loaded with features and memory. The screen display is not quite as good as the iPhone4's screen -- but it is very nbice and LARGER. Everything else is pretty close in specs. You can probably compare the feature set using a tool at CNET.COM and their"comparison" feature for phones. Good luck on whichever you choose.

All of these phones are going to be WAY different than the Iphone. Each will require a learning curve as they are more technical than Iphones. But in the light of being more technical, they can perform a broader range of functions. If you want a phone that feels as sturdily built as the Iphone, the Droid X is your best bet. The trade offs are that it is a larger device and eats battery power if you have all the features turned on. However, I love the size of the screen, every time I pull it out to add someone's number they go crazy over how great the screen is. I then have to let them check out the phone and drool over how comfortably it sits in their hand for the size of it. If I really want to impress them I start up Avatar the movie.
I've even had several IP4 owners tell them they wish they could get out of their contracts so they could get one. But like I said before, any of those phones are going to require some time to learn.
