I've been having some difficulties getting my music onto the Droid. I've tried two apps for the mac to import specific iTunes playlists to the Droid. The first program was Salling Media Sync - the second program was DoubleTwist. In both attempts, about 100 or so songs transfer over and it stops. The programs on my mac transferring the files both freeze up and then the phone freezes as well (screen won't turn on, phone won't turn off). At that point I was left with no option but to unhook the USB and pull the battery.
Any suggestions for an easy sync? Is there a compatibility issue with the mac? Any specific file formats that aren't transferring over?

I was just reading on some Android site about Double Twist... Something about a new update - you might see if you had the newest version.
It's also possible that you needed to wait a bit longer for the sync to take place - On some OS's (especially if they have higher performance file systems that do extensive caching of data like LInux or Mac) it may "look" to the sending program like the file transfer is complete, yet in the backgroud the file is still streaming to the receiving device. Did you try waiting a few minutes, or transferring fewer files in "batches"?
Any possibility that your SD card is full?

I just installed the Doubletwist update prior to my last attempt at syncing. As the music is syncing, I see the progress bar advancing at a decent rate and then it stops. After waiting about five minutes, everything freezes up. On one attempt I got about halfway and my most recent attempt I got about one quarter of the music on. The SD card has plenty of room on it.

I’m using Sailing Media Sync for 3 months without any problems with my MacBook Pro. I use it because it also syncs photos. If it is stalling I would adjust the size of the music sync by half. If this syncs correctly, then I would increase it and re sync again until it finishes. Once completed your problems should disappear. Otherwise contact Sailing Media.

I've been using Isyncr from the market for syncing my Itunes playlists with no problem.
