icon removal

I added an icon to my home page on my new droid incredible that I didn't mean to and I can't figure out how to remove it. Can someone please tell me?

hold your finger down on the icon and then you'll see a red trash can. Move the icon into that trash bin. The icon should then be gone from your home screen.
