Verizon has nothing to do with creating patches and bug fixes, the manufacturer does that. Try posting on the Motorola community forum for the Droid 2 here: https://supportforums.motorola.com/community/google-android/droid2?view=discussions They have staff monitoring their forum, who pass bug reports and feature requests to the appropriate personnel.
Also, it helps to keep a simple title, and post the bulk of the message in the message box--don't put your whole message in the title. You might also get a better response if you post it as a request and not a demand.
On my Nexus One when I had it I used K-9 and handcent(or chompsms) over the stock email, and messaging clients.
I loaded yahoo mail on my new Droid 2 a few weeks ago and it wigged out. A friend that works at Verizon downloaded K9 for me and my yahoo mail works fine......why can't Google handle ALL email the way they handle Gmail. I feel penalized for having mutiple email accounts.....I love my Droid 2. For such a capable phone, they way they handle NON gmail email accounts is inexcusable.
