Heres a solution that was reported to resolve this at http://community.vzw.com/t5/DROID-Incredible-by-HTC/Signing-into-Market-trouble/td-p/673933
Go to your phones home screen / Settings / Accounts & sync / there you will see the youtube.com address for google. click on it and it will have a remove account button. press it and you will be fixed

Have you tried just going into Menu / Settings / Applications / Manage Applications / scroll to YOUTUBE and select it - then Clear Data & Clear Cache ??? After doing that you'll need to re-enter your ID & PASSWORD for YouTube again ... It really sounds like the App somehow is holding onto a bad password attempt from a previous attempt.

Hi Scootie,
I understand your frustration for not being able to access Youtube on your mobile device due to user/password combination. Please be assured that your phone is working properly and this issue is strictly associated with your online credentials. Gmail & Youtube are both part of Google and in some cases the user/password combination needs to be verified at this LINK in order to be accessed on your mobile for security measures implemented by Google.
Please note that this must be done on a computer connected to the Internet (not from your mobile device).

This is very very strange ... Have you tried Logging Off & ON the acutal YouTube web site??? Just to confirm that the site has the user/pw combination that you think you have??? Are you currently logged in at YouTube online? I'd start there and make sure the site is still what you think it is as far as your credentials ... then clear cache again to get the login prompt on your phone. Something is definitely not in sync between the App & the web site.

Scootie, I'm sorry to hear the previous steps have not worked for you. I understand how important it is for you to be able to use YouTube and the Market on your phone. It seems this is caused by the phone setting up the YouTube account as a Gmail account in the phone. This issue has been reported to Google and they are working on a permanent resolution.
I want to check a few things first. Is the email you setup to access YouTube a Gmail address? When you login to your YouTube account, make sure it is not changing the email to an @youtube email. In the meantime, another thing that has worked for some people, is to uninstall updates to the Market. Go to Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>All>Market. See if you have an option to uninstall updates.

Thanks to the Community for all the great feedback and suggestions!
And thanks Scootie for posting!
I would like to suggest unlocking the CAPTCHA. Google may have locked your account from being accessed from outside sources (other than their website) due to possibly too many unsuccessful account accessing attempts. Following these steps would unlock your account and allow you to access your Google services on other sources, like YouTube or your phone.
Please let us know how this works out for you.

ok first off I have never had a failed attempt at logging in to gmail and it is accessable from my phone and desktop...and never had a problem logging in to youtube until three weeks ago on my phone. after trying your suggestion I can not access market because it wants a username @youtube.com password which I have changed on my desktop several times to no avail...i can log in to youtube and upload from my deskyop just fine and can see my channel on my phone but cannot upload from my phone and still cannot access market...I am at a complete loss....this is really starting to upset me to a bad point...the reason being is I have a 6 yo that does not live with me and I have a blog about his life and take videos of him on his weekends with me and then post them on the blog as I have done for the past two years and do not want to change anything about the process in which this happens....im sure it would be easy to start a new account at youtube but it defeats the purposeas i have several people following this that go to youtube to see any videos that dont make the blog

I have been on youtube yet again this morning and changed my password and my phone will not accept it I do not understand why it wants a username@youtube.com password to access market anyway...can this be a phone bug as verizon has offered me a new phone to try and correct the problem because the people at the store have no clue how to get around it either
