did you install an app that lets you track?

if not get a court order and take it to verizon

Log into Google Play from a computer. You can install Plan B from your computer as long as your phone is on, receiving a signal and the battery hasn't died.

If the phone is off, the battery has died since you lost it, the phone is not getting a signal, or the phone is in airplane mode, nothing will be able to help you track it.
