How do I reset the messenging counter?. I do not want to delete the threads that are there at present. I have read all messages and counter still says one message left unread. Messenger stopped while sending a pic via email.

I am sorry you're having issues with the message counter on your device. Are you using a message app on your device? Sometimes you need to access the message on the stock app and the message app to show the message was accessed. Try to check your device and then delete the messages after reading them to see if it reset the counter.
