multimedi​a docking station - screen black

Hello Everyone!

 

I have the M multimedia docking station on my desk at work. Other than being combersome, the combination has worked fine until today.   When I docked the phone the "multimedia station" home screen that normally appears was there but very dim.  I have to turn off all the lights and close the window shades just to see anything on the screen.  I can faintly see the phone is charging and the "multimedia station" home screen is there but it is very very light.   I press the back key to exit the multimedia station home screen and the screen returns to normal brightness.  I undocked the phone and the normal home screen is back to the normal brightness.  It appears to be an issue with the multimedia station home screen brightness setting.  Does anyone know how to change it?

 

What I have done so far:

 

  1. Checked the display brightness was set to automatic
  2. Tried manually setting the brightness to max
  3. I powered off the phone and removed the battery
  4. I unplugged the USB power source from the docking station and removed the power from the wall
  5. Waited ~3 minutes
  6. Reconnected everything

when looking at the screen it is on the left hand side about half way down just under the ear piece.

did you try hitting the brightness icon when in the docking station. mine is under the alarm icon. mine defaults to dim when in the docking station and to see it in the day i have to hit that icon.

I forgot about that icon.   Can you help me find it on the screen?   Is it on the bottom "slide" menu on the left or right?

This is amazing....

 

Last night, the same thing happened to me.  My phone was dark when I had it in the desk dock.   However, the power had gone out here for about 20 seconds earlier in hte evening and I was begining to think that maybe when the power came back on, the "power surge" had maybe done something to my desk dock.

 

Then I log onto the forum this morning and see this thread....... I too had forgotten about the brightness icon on the left side of the screen when my phone was in the dock.  I pushed that icon and..... back to normal.

 

Again all I cas say is.... "Amazing".... (and timing is everything) haha!.....
