new contacts saved but not showing in contacts list

Hi

A friend has a Droid and I entered my name and number as a new contact.

Pressed Done and it said Saving contact. When we look at the contact list,

I'm not listed. However, when I call him, instead of just my number showing,

my Name shows as I entered it when adding myself as a new contact.

So that makes me think it really did save my contact info, it's just not showing it for an unknown reason.

Has anyone seen this problem before?

Anyone know how to fix?

I would have him open the contacts app and the press menu button. In menu selection, see if there is a view or display option. The contact sounds like it was saved, but the phone is not currently displaying that type of contacts. For example you can have phone, gmail, facebook contacts on the phone, but only allow the contact app to display the gmail and facebook contacts.
