no internet unless connected to wifi

i can't get internet access unless im connected to wifi.  this happened once before but i forget what settings i had to change to fix it. any ideas?

Cellular data needs to be turned on in the settings.

I'm having this same problem with a newly reactivated Palm Pre.....I have no idea how to fix it.  If I change Data Connection to on, it goes back to off by itself.

The best way to resolve this is to take the following steps:

From the main screen> press menu> choose settings> choose wireless & networks > check mobile network. 

Then try to connect.
