problem with my SIM card

The message I am getting is " Can't establish a reliable data connection to the server.  this could be temporary problem or your SIM card may not be provisioned for data service.  If it continues, call Customer Service."

  

This came up yesterday. Everything was working fine before.  Any suggestions?

Hello sno6891,

 

No worries, we can resolve this issue! When your SIM card is not being provisioned for data service, you may need to remove the SIM card and then place it back in. If you still receive this error message after removing the SIM card, check the date and time settings and make sure they are correct.

 

If the issue persists, you may need to backup your device (contacts, pictures, etc.) and perform a hard reset. Follow the steps below to perform a hard reset:

 

1. From the home screen, touch the applications tab

2. Touch Settings.

3. Touch SD card, USB Mass Storage, & phone storage.

4. Touch Factory data reset from the Internal phone storage section.

5. Touch Reset phone.

6. Touch Erase everything.

 

Once you erase everything, you may need to program your device again by dialing *228 + Send. Choose option 1.
