I acquired a Droid X last Saturday and I'm generally very happy with it. I thought I was successful in transferring my contacts from Outlook to Google, and from there via sync to the phone. My contacts even came in with all their categories (groups) intact. Now, I discover that I can't add a contact into the phone (although I can do it when synching with Google contacts). When I try to add a new contact into the phone, I get an error message: "Can not create a new contact without a valid account." Any insight into this would be appreciated!
Do a battery pull on the device. Remove the battery for 1 minute, place it back in and power the phone back on.
Open your app drawer, go to contacts, hit your menu key, select add contact to aad contacts manually to your device.
