TIA for any help anyone can give me. For the last couple of weeks I will get the alert "National access coverage not available" whenever I use the stock text app AND attempt to send a picture or voice attachment. Otherwise, all is well in my DroidX. Where is the magic button I need to push or release? Thanks

Back a few months ago when this started happening to me I called verizon support. They said that it was because i was using handcent and not the stock text. So I started using the stock text and the same thing happened. Once again verizon support had no idea what they were talking about.

I don't think you folks realize how important my problem is! Without the ability to attach pictures to my stock text, how will I send endless pictures of my only grandchild to people who don't want to see them??????????

This happens to me a lot!! Usually powering off and back on takes care of the problem but it does tend to get annoying.

I had this issue when I first picked up my Droid X. I had to call Customer Services and hte Guy i had on the phone said he had to rebuild my profile or something on their systems. Once he did that I never had an issue agian with this error. Before i called i would get this error with every picture or video text (MMS) that i tried to send. Regular Texts had no issues.

Just upgraded to the Droid X this week and have already had this same issue. A friend tried to send me a photo and it wouldn't come thru, just "National access coverage not available" message. Guess I'll have to call Support and see if they can do anything from their end with it.

hey guys! i'm a new member on the board here but have been having this problem ever since going to the droidX in september. i guess it's safe to say rebuilding a profile is the only way to fix this? how difficult is this? will the phone rep do it upon request?
this has been one of the most frustrating things for me, my SMS and MMS simply do not want to send or receive most of the time. obviously the national access message only comes with the MMS failures but it's still so frustrating. i tried the DX, the Dinc2, the iPhone and the Tbolt and nothing fixes the issue. oh well!

I get this alot.
Verizon has sent me 2 replacement phones and changed things in my profile. Nothing has worked.
The only thing i can tell is that when my signal strength is 1-2 bars it has trouble with MMS.
When my signal strength is better I never have trouble with MMS.
SMS always works.
They have insisted MMS should work as long as I have signal, but it doesnt appear to be the case.

Hello fellow forum members,
I would like to thank everyone for their input on this topic. I apologize that you are having this issue PhoneHoarder. May I ask are you having any difficulties browsing the web or the App Market? It appears as if SMS/MMS is the only issue that you are having. If so, I would like to reach out to you so I can check your account provisioning. Please send us a private message with your mobile number or account number so we can review your provisioning. When relpying, please refer to the issue as you did in your posting.
Thank you...

I seem to have this problem quite a bit as well. I use the stock text app. Stock DX.
