The Motorola Droid 2 (A955) uses capacitive multi-touch technology. Screen calibration is not supported at this time.

Thanks

I know where your coming from. I too wish there were some way that the sensitivity can be changed. As far as I can tell, there is no way that we can make the touch screen less sensitive.

Since I am currently playing with a phone (HTC Aria) without a screen protector and my Droid Eris has a 10 month old Zagg invisi-shield, I am finding out the phone without the screen protector is much more sensitive.

If you don't have a screen protector, perhaps you can consider adding one to your phone to reduce the sensitivity.

Ann154, it doesn't help. The screens in both the Droid X and the Droid 2 are so sensitive that I swear if a feather hit an icon, it will open the icon up. These things are supersensetive with or without a protector. Maybe a fur coat as a protector might help.:smileyhappy:

Hey it was just a thought. I will have say I can see your scenario happening with this Aria I'm playing with at the moment. I barely have to touch the thing and it highlights an application or slides the screen to the next home screen.

Wow, I was shocked when I read this post. The Droid 2 I played with in a Verizon store the other day had a terrible touch screen. I had to touch it 3-4 times to get it to select what I wanted!

That sounds better than the Droid Incredible I played with in a store one time a few months ago. Not only did I have to select the app or menu options several times, it would select things without my touching it. It made me wonder what they did with the display model phones. I hope no one ever ended up with that device.

The Droid Incredible I played with in the store did that as well! It sort of deterred me from Droids and pushed me towards the iPhone. Made me think all Android devices were hard to use with their touch screens. Maybe they do that with their display phones to get more money by making the higher priced phones look better? Who knows.

I believe that the store displays are harder to use because of all the people (and especially the sticky-handed little people) who play with the phones (or any other gadgets on display). I've watched people do some of the weirdest things with the display model. That is why, whenever I want to purchase anything...phone or vacuum cleaner...if the salesperson tells me that the display model is the only one left, I also leave.
