Thank you pool_shark for your help. If you have media stored on your card, first try to move your data to your computer using a SD card reader before re-formatting. If this is the first time using the card, try formatting the card from the settings menu --> SD card & phone storage --> Format SD card. After re-formatting the sd card, the error should go away. If you still are having issues, please stop in a Verizon Wireless store with a technician for hands-on troubleshooting.

Maybe you have a bad SD card.

If you have an SDcard reader on your PC, see if you can read it there. If not and the format doesn't work, sounds like a bad one.

his fixed my Samsung:

NOTE: When removing an SD card, it is best to unmount it, turn off the phone, then remove it.

I tried every reset option under the sun right down to the removal of the sim card, battery and SD card.

Eventually, I put a blank SD card into my phone and added files to that as required... music, etc.

To recover my files on the apparent bad SD card, I used the USB miniSD card adapter.  (The normal SD card adapter did not work.)

I figure there is a bad boot file on the SD card, so I copied all of my files from the bad SD card to my PC.  I re-formatted the SD card, and it appears that this cleared the bad file from that card.
