I got my droid x aug 25. I have been fairly successful in getting it to do what I want, but. I can barely see the screen to answer phone while outside. I can barely see screen to take pictures while outside. The contacts are first name first. I can't seem to find a way to make them last name first. My gmail file where they came from IS last name first. I used the backup assistant app and none of the contacts had phone numbers or emails on the Verizon page where you can view them. I contacted a tec rep with Verizon and he had me delete those contacts and stop the backup assistant app on the phone. Then I had no contacts on line at Verizon and no backup assistant program. At least it doesn't appear to want to run. His comment was " well you still have the gmail file" I would like a time stamp on videos, but I haven't figured out how to get them. Anybody got any ideas for me?
Well, that all sounds frustrating! Nothing much to do about the screen, it sucks in direct sunlight. You can try to set up the brightness not to change automatically and just crank it up. then you deal w/ battery issues. I don't see any option for video timee stamps, but the file will have a created date to it so that can help for orgaizing the files.
Hope some apps /fixes can answer your questions. start looking for alternate contact apps on the market to see what is out there.
