i received my first update 11/15 and then last night i received the second update i hit install now and it started to reboot. it came back on 2 mins later and said low on space. i then deleted a bunch of stuff and i have plenty of space available and the update never came back up. i changed the date to 12/17 and still no update. do i have to do a factory reset in order for the update to pop up again?

I got the update two days ago and something went terribly wrong. It never took the update and it just said "loading" on my screen for hours. I had to call verizon and after one hour on the phone, had to reset my phone. I lost all my contacts and had to set up my screen again. It keeps popping up to run update again and I am rejecting.
Be careful, you may not want this update, it messed my droid up.
good luck

Well, at least you have has two bites at the apple.
That much is encouraging.
2 of mine aborted the first push, and now report they are up to date and have not received any other indications tha (4.08.605.2)t they will ever get a second chance. The third one took both updates without the first hiccup.
I took my junker and force fed the updates through the USB cable, but had to root it to be able to do that.
It is now running 2.3.4 (4.08.605.3), but is of little use, as the battery has to be removed whenever the screen times out, or you touch the power button....

Same exact deal. I **bleep** near fell out of my chair when the first one hit. When the second one popped up I figured I'd better make some room dispite the fact that I had tons of storage space left. I wiped music, photos, pdfs and even some monster apps. Having completed that, I rebooted, fully expecting the update to float up and hit me again. I'm not too sure that I need that second update right now anyway. The battery life is much better, the phone seems to be working a lot better (no hangs in the dialer etc). I'm pretty happy the way it is...unless ofcourse that second update makes this somehow 4g compatible...lol.

I keep getting the update alert but it wont update. it does the count down and that is it. and now it has messed up my text messaging. the texts arent showing in my inbox. i can only read what people text me when it pops up on the front screen. but if it is a big text message i can only read the first little bit. I had no issues (except battery life) before this upgrade. and now i have no choice but to do a factory reset hoping it fixes my text message issues. Which I dont want to do because I will lose pictures I have saved from text messages that dont save to my SD card! This update is the best thing!! NOT

Surprised you seem to have better battery life. I think my battery life has been in the crapper since the update. now running 4.06.605.3
I don't know if the second update took. I also got the not enough space message.
