strange call from suspicious number

I have been getting several messages from the number " 900080002012"...what is this...how can I block this number?  somedays, I will get several messages from this number...

Are they text messages or voice messages?

Thank you for the information provided. This message is for a Mobile IM (Instant Message) alert. These messages can come about for a few reasons. For example if you were signed in to Mobile IM from one device and switched devices, alerts may come to the new device as they are sent to the mobile number. To stop these messages, follow the steps below:

  1. Connect to the Internet (on a computer) then log into the Yahoo Messenger account.
  2. Click the mobile device icon (beside the profile picture).
  3. Click Edit.
    A new Web page will open to display a list of mobile numbers associated with the Yahoo Messenger account.
  4. Remove all mobile numbers labeled Verizon Wireless Mobile IM.
