telephone group icon on screen

I want an icon for one of the groups I have in my phone list.  

However, I can't figure out how to make it show up on my front screen. 

The only thing I can get on there is a "People" icon which defaults to the whole list, then I have to go to groups. 

Since I use the phone to call mostly one group, I'd like to have that group as an icon.  Help????

Adding the People widget

Slide your finger left or right on the Home screen to find the People widget. If you do not

find the People widget on the Home screen, follow this procedure to add the widget to the

Home screen.

Press HOME , and then tap > Widget > People.

Choose the widget style, and then tap Select.

Select the group you want to add as a widget.

Drag the widget to a blank space on a Home screen, and then release.

Please follow the instructions below to add the people widget:

-  Slide your finger left or right on the Home screen to find the People widget.

-  If you do not find the People widget on the Home screen, follow this procedure to add the widget to the Home screen.
