all of a sudden I can not text some people from my contact list...I can receive texts from them but am unable to text them. HELP

When was the last you reprogrammed the phone to the Verizon Wireless network?  Dial *228, option 1.

I had just done that prior to my posting this issue. Just read it in a prior answer so thot I would try that before posting. It didn't seem to do anything yet.
