Ok... This one is not just me.
While on a call... Press1 for... Press 2 for... Press 3 for etc...
After I press the desired button the kepad stays on, so when i put it up to my ear I end up pressing other buttons because the touch screen dosen't blank out.
is this a bug or a defect?

Aha! Discovered something.
When I use the touch screen, I need to hold it in my flat palm and not touch the sides.
Also if the touch screen doesn't respond, wait a bit and try again.
It appears to me that the touch screen interprets my fingers on the edge as my requested touch.

sounds like a proximity sensor issue,
do you have a screen protector? may be causing problems

But that doesn't seems to the problem. The screen will blank out on normal calls. Its when I use these automated, push number to continue phone systems.
If I push a number to continue the touch screen stays on, and my ear ends up pressing other numbers.
The only way I've found to avoid this is to slide open the keyboard.

Have you tried pressing menu>settings>call settings? There may be something in there that might help you. Or, as a workaround, you may have to close the popup dialpad when you're not using it.

Unfortunately, if you pull up the keypad on a call, it will stay up. I find it convenient to pull up the keypad and the speaker phone. This way, you don't have to hold the phone to your ear.
