ok I read the instructions.. it said to back up contacts on my old phone first.. and gave me several options. I think the back up assistant would have been the best bet BUT... I didn't have a data package on my old phone in order to go online to get it for the old phone.. one of the options was my Windows Mobile Device SYNC... so I synced everthing..
(0ld phone - samsung saga)
(new phone - droid 2)
Once activated, the new phone began my data package.. but the new phone won't connect to my windows mobile device application nor does the backup assistant access it to get the contacts.. it downloaded all of my email addys from my gmail account..
On my saga there isn't an option for saving the contacts in any form other then vcard (which doesn't work because I don't have data package and now not even phone ability) .. or beam.. I haven't discovered if I can beam to the droid or not.
any suggestions?
thanks

Did you use Outlook with your Saga? I had Windows mobile prior to the Droid 2 and I exported my contacts from outlook, put the file on the D2 SD card, then imported from within the contacts app.
