turning off email accts.

How do I turn off the danged emails?

I have 4 yahoo accts, they ALL show up with ALL my messages. shows each acct.

I want to be able to veiw each acc't separately and then turn each one off.

Easy to set up with the accts, but I'll be danged if I can figure out how to turn them off without deleting the accts.

Same thing with gmail,but that'sthe last one I use, haven't checked it yet.

Go to accounts, go to the mail account, go to edit it, change the delivery time (most people have this set to 15 mins)

change the ones you don't use that often to check for mail every 8 hours or something..

While that would be ok, I dont' use all the accounts everyday.

I need to just turn on and off the email acctss as I want to. Otherwise I'll get tons of spam...some of my emails are seen as spam...but they're suscriptions...

Oh, unless I'm in the wrong accts, there's no edit...just add... I dont' need any more accts! <BG>

Theres not really an on off thing..but if you open an email account, click your menu tab and there should be some account settings.. then change the time it looks for new emails, i think maybe 3 hours is the longest, i don't recall off hand

In the email app when in its settings for each account, you can set the account to check for new email manually by setting it to never. It will then sync only when you open the email account folder in the email app.
