unable to send texts on droid x

I have been unable to senf any text messgaes for 2 days.  I have rebooted my phone.  I can recieve texts without problem.  

system version 2.3.340

adroid version 2.2.1

 

I have not updated anything.  any ideas?

which Text app are you using?  You might want to try going into SETTINGS / APPLICATIONS/Manage Applications and scroll to your texting app - and press on "Clear Cache"  ...  or uninstall & reinstall the APP?

I had a similar problem when i got my Droid X.  I could receive text messages, but could not send one.  I called customer support and they finally figured out that something was set wrong on their end.  Once they reset my service, everything worked just fine.
