unresponsive power button

I have had this great little Incredible for one week and suddenly the power button does not work.  So the phone is unusable unless I receive a call because that wakes up the screen.   It  has been in a case (from Verizon) the entire time.  I think the button is not seated properly.  After 3 calls , they decided to send me a replacement.  But I am concerned that there are some production quality problems.  I don't want to be returning it again.   Or worse, after one month, have another problem crop up and get a used phone.  I was loving this phone but.......it needs to be reliable.  Hopefully this was a rare occurence.  While I'm waiting for a replacement, I'm using my old phone.

Never heard of that one and I'm constantly reading forums. I think you'll be safe with the replacement.

I agree with dabbubakin. I also suggest you to get a complete equipment coverage. I think it's $8 per month or so. That's in case your phone goes bad after the 30-da trial period.

Thanks.   I actually do have the full coverage but after 30 days I am not guaranteed a new phone.  And I have checked other forums (Droidforums.net and one other)   and did find this same problem, but it does not seem to occur with any frequency  so I am hopeful that my next phone will be fine.  I've used Verizon for years with no phone problems but I know these smart phones are  mini computers with a new level of complexity.  I never bothered with coverage/insurance for a phone until now.
