The Droid X I'd a great phone, as far as being bad, I think its a combination of phones, cust serv, and the customer......lol

I have been with vzw now 7yrs and have had to swop out phones but nothing major, I'm on my second X, and I really have no complaints regarding it....they have always done right by me, so maybe its just hit or miss both ways....

I've never had a problem with Verizon Customer Service.  For those rare times I've had to contact them (either on the phone or in the store), they have always been helpful.  In fact, I recently called CS regarding a billing error (the FIRST billing error in the seven or so years I've been with VW).  Ashley adjusted my bill without a hassle, and I even upgraded my plan.

For any sort of tech service, I find that going to the store is much more helpful than calling.  Any tech trouble I've had (which also has been very rare) I can just hand the phone over to the VW tech and they can fix it...except for one time with my BB Storm, which had to be replaced (but that's a RIM issue).

In-store personnel have always been helpful, without being pushy.  Don't think I'll ever leave Verizon Wireless.

I've been with T-Mobile, AT&T, Cingular (now AT&T), and Verizon. Verizon's customer service is far superior than the others. AT&T has horrible customer service. I understand that Sprint's customer service is also horrible. T-Mobile has relatively good customer service. When I was with AT&T, my phone (an old Nokia) quit working. Took it to an AT&T store. The so-called technician took off the battery cover looked at it and said that he didn't know what was wrong with it. I asked if he could call someone and he answered that he couldn't. So here I was, with a phone that didn't work and an idiot telling me that there was nothing he could do. I asked if I could swap it out. Guess you know the answer to that one. Needless to say, I paid $150 to cancel my account with Awful Telephones and Technicians and went to Verizon. Never looked back.

After being a customer of AT&T for 15+ years, experiencing Verizon Customer Service has been a refreshing experience.

I have only been a Verizon customer for a few months now. So far, Verizon Customer Service and Tech Support have exceeded my expectations. They have resolved some situations (not caused by them in the first place). Tech support helped me get my email sync problem taken care of and made sure it was working before they hung up the phone.

Whether or not this level of support continues remains to be seen. Only time will tell I suppose.

Maybe I can get rid of my frustration here.  I have phone service of which it has not worked in a month but I am still getting billed for it being off.   I have internet service where I can't remove a duplicate option because they don't allow you to change your bundle oh yeah except to add options.   WHERE IS THE REMOVE OPTION.  I call the number and go through 6 transfers to get "Our office is not available to take your call because we are not open".   They seem to make it impossible to get rid of them.  I have not had the phone for a month so I really don't miss it.   My cell phone gives me what I need.   They pay minimum wage to someone overseas who can't speak ENGLISH.

Oh maybe I should call them with the fact that since I am disabled they don't have any right to turn off my phone without the permission of some agency of which I am listed.

Don't really understand. You say you haven't had your phone for a month, yet you come back and say that your cell gives you what you need. You do realize that this is a Verizon Wireless forum. Not some landline phone forum. Even if it is Verizon landline service you are complaining about, you don't go complaining to a Cadillac dealer when you have a problem with your Chevy, even if they are both subsidiaries of the same company.

WOW, people can become very childish when they are upset. I read this entire thread and it could have been a bunch of 9th graders complaining about too much homework, including threatening to get the mean teacher (Verizon) fired.

Come on, people. No company and no product is perfect and while that includes Verizon and the Droid X, neither are the worst and neither "suck", either.

This is a $200 phone. Its not a home, a car, or even something most of us "need", but more of a convenience than anything.

Most of you probably throw down more cash on a given Saturday night over dinner and a movie, or concert.

Running a business off your phone? Here's a tip. Have a back-up.

Don't like the Droid X? Get an iphone. I'm sure your personality will mesh perfectly with that crowd.

Don't like Verizon? Go to another carrier and rant like an adolescent in that forum.
