H2O, wow, ur post was........that was hilarious even when its OBVISOUS you really dont find it so, but in ur defense, here are a couple of things to do to help you in the future (that have helped me, and not suggested by vzw)
1. download advanced task killer, to help control and regulate the amount of **bleep** that runs with apps while ur not using ur phone, and to also help prevent it from freezing up and stalling....
2. download avg app, antivirus app that prevents **bleep** app that you or someones may have (not knowingly) downloaded onto ur phone for business or pleasure purposes: it runs a scan on ur phone periodically similar to antivirus on computers (i have it on my computer and droid x)
3. go to settings, then applications, and make sure that "unknown sources" is NOT checked, to prevent **bleep** apps from being able to download or sync to ur phone and cause issues
4. go to settings, then privacy, and make sure that the TWO boxes are checked (back up data/automatic restore)
5. when you insert and format ur sd card, choose to save all apps and info to ur sd card, that way whenever you have issues, or have (asked by vzw) to reboot, or be sent a new phone....all you will ever have to do is sign back into ur gmail account, the rest of info (however you previously had ur phone set up) will relaod from ur sd card....takes about 5 to 10 mins or so but its so worth it rather than going back and having to do it urself...
...hope this all helps you, and save SEVERAL of ur blood vessels in the process, again sorry for LOL, but ur post was truly hilarious!!!!! (i agree with you...but i'm also a therapist)
HAPPY NEW YEAR!

The MOTOROLA Customer Service, believe it or not, is even WORSE. Just got my new Droid X - used it for one day - great. Recharged next morning but phone wouldn't turn on. Called Motorla on land line. After a couple of disconnects I finally got a "Technician" who mumbled so badly I couldn't understand him. Finally understood he wanted me to remove the battery (sound familiar?). I did, but the serial number is so small I couldn't be sure what it was. He said "That's okay, it'll be on the screen when we turn it on." I asked him: "Do you remember why I'm calling?" BECAUSE THE PHONE WOULDN'T COME ON. I asked for a supervisor and he disconnected me. So count your blessings. It could be worse.

I guess I've been lucky then. Every time I have called, I have gotten someone that speaks perfectly good English that even a Texan (hard of hearing at that) can understand. They have been very professional and when they start the "pull the battery routine" I tell 'em been there, done that, got the T-Shirt and coffee mug. Once this step is taken it's perfectly smooth sailing - normally to tech and the issue is resolved. I've had to return 2 X's - 1 for the LCD getting dark in an area (purely cosmetic) and got a CPO for that. That CPO kept reading ghost keyrpresses on the screen and doing what it wanted. Called and they had me take it into the local store and they placed an order for another one - guaranteed to be there next day, and it was. This one has been working just dandy. The 3 others that I got the rest of the family have been working fantastic from day 1.
