what's the easiest way to set up MP3 playlists or folders on my Samsung Droid Charge?

Let's say I have 100 MP3 audio files on one folder on my PC... if I copy them to the Charge,

the phone just end up showing me all 100 in random order(or by name/artist)   Is there a way

for me to creat my own playlist?     For example, making 5 playlists.... female singer, male singer,

jazz, foreign, and relaxing....

Thanks! :smileyhappy:

I assume that you want to create a playlist on your computer and transfer that list to the Charge so that it appears in the native Music Player under the Playlists tab.  I have a way to do this, but I can't say it is easy or intuitive.  If you are interested in learning how to do it (it will take some knowledge of the phone - particularly how to create a folder in a particular place on the SD card - and some knowledge of Windows Explorer), post your interest to this thread and I will lay out the step-by-step.

I have the same question. I have about 1500 songs. When I had my iPod (and also on an iPhone), the playlists transfer over. They don't on this devise or others that don't use iTunes. The only playlist that comes up is "recently added." It would be SO nice to be able to create a playlist online and transfer it to the phone. That's one of the main reasons I almost bought an iPhone...except that the cost was outrageous.

Get Google's Play Music. It will take all those song files stored on your phone and upload them to the cloud, allowing you to create and manage playlists online through your PC or Mac's browser that then sync to your phone.
