I'm just wondering which calling plan you guys all use with your DROID? Does one need to switch to a voice/email calling plan or is it possible and to use a family calling plan?
Thanks!

It can be on a family plan, yes, but you'll need to buy a data plan for it -- unless you're a hardcore Business user you just need the $29.99 one.

I am about to order the Droid and assumed i needed the enterprise server data plan ($45) cuz verizon reps keep telling me that. i am not hardcore business; i need occasional emails, i need to sync Calendar daily (but could use the usb cable for that; doesn't have to be active sync) Do you think i'll be able to do this with the $30 data plan? that would make me happy! pdoyle

I would go with the $30 plan. No need for the more expensive plan if your
not going to be connecting to an enterprise server for email at work.
