I have had a few ongoing issue since this 'update'.
1) I have ringtones assigned to some contacts. After connecting to a PC via USB (for data synch with Docs to go) and disconnecting, the contacts lose the assigned ringtones and I have to reassign. This is every time I connect via USB. VERY irritating. Solutions?
2) The update removed the motoprint via wi-fi. One of the most useful apps I had. Not a happy camper over this. I shouldn't have to buy an app that was included to begin with.
3) (and this has been an ongoing issue since I got the phone new)...every time I connect to PC via USB, the $%^&#* motocast tries to install. DO NOT WANT! DO NOT LIKE HAVING TO STOP IT EVERY TIME! Solution?

#1) Can't you save your documents and things in a cloud area like Google Drive, Microsoft SkyDrive, Dropbox, or Box.net? That way you would not have to connect your phone to the computer and you would eliminate the 1st problem.
#2) There are other apps on the market to print from your phone to a printer. There is an HP Printer utility, there is Printhand, and I know Google has a cloud printing option available that I have used. All 3 are free.
#3) Depending on answer #1, don't hook it up to your computer.

Is the music saved on the internal storage or the SD card? If it is on the SD card, I would suggest moving it to the internal storage space on the phone.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

I do not want to connect to a skydrive. There are areas I go to that I do not have service, yet need access to documents.
2) Other apps? Had one. Worked good. 'They' decided I didn't need it.
I can understand an 'update', but this does not qualify as one. If anything, its is a 'downdate'.

It may work. I haven't tried that yet.
Update: 3/25/13
Moving my ringtone sounds to the internal storage folder <RINGTONES> worked. Now when I connect, the ringtones assigned to certain contacts don't dis-associate. Went ahead and moved some notification sounds likewise.

The cloud apps will also allow you to use the files stored locally when you are out of service areas, I do it all the time. I am just trying to give you alternatives to what you are currently doing. I use Motocast, and there were rumors that it was going away also. If that would have happened, I would have found another way of doing what I need to do. I agree with you, getting used to an app and then have it taken away is not fun.

Your right. I get the phone with factory installed apps (not really an app, more of part of the OS), they change it, makes it not what I purchased or agreed to.
Google, ITS NOT YOUR ^&&*(% phone anymore.Quit screwing around with it.
Oh....and Verizon....your just as responsible.

I was annoyed by this as well, so I found an alternative to USB connection - wifi tethering! Below is just one such app, and there are several other apps that work the same way.
Yes, it will be considerably slower the USB connection, but you don't have to deal with that motocast crap or USB cable that clutters your desk. I think this is even better than cloud storage that others have suggested, unless you want to have files available from multiple devices.
