After update my razr maxx hd won't clear the circle widget showing a new text message even though I've read it. Also, it seems my battery has taken a turn for the worse since update.

The only way to clear it is to actually select the message itself from the circle widget.  How can I fix this?  is anyone else noticing any battery issues since update as well?  Mine just doesn't seem to last as long before the update.

Noticed the same battery issues here, too. I'm sure that when someone from tech support chimes in, they'll ask a hundred and one questions and you'll never hear from the same person twice.....by design.
