BeachGaBulldog, with Gmail being the main email source in this phone, I can certainly understand the concern with this not working. Let’s dive in to see what is going on.
Do you have any other email accounts in your phone? How long has this been happening? Any recent software update to your phone? Any recent changes to your password for Gmail or your Gmail account lately?

I don't know what the problem was that caused this, but it resolved itself.
