Those messages tell me that Verizon Wireless "thinks" you have Visual Voicemail. Are you using the dialer to normally access the basic non-visual voicemail instead? Do you have the visual voicemail application installed and enabled?
If you have no intention of ever using a visual voicemail, I would suggest that you call customer service at 1-800-922-0204 from a landline or *611 from your phone and request they add the Block Visual Voicemail feature to your line.
