Olgarj68: Have you rebooted the phone? Press and hold volume down and the power button until you see the phone go down and then the Droid startup logo. If that doesn't fix it you could try a factory reset. If you call tech support they're probably going to ask that of you before replacing it.

mrsdm: Reboot the device, press and hold the volume down and power button until the device restarts. If your data is still off, check the Data Connection as SallyC suggested. You can simply uninstall JD to see if it's the culprit. Do you see the $g symbol in the notification area?

try setting the display to 30 seconds.they come preset with 1minute.the display eats up most of your battery, about 38% in my case.so i set my display to go off after 30 seconds of no activity.my Razr came with a back up 4 hour plug in battery and a hdmi out cable.but i have never had to use the back up.if you use your phone for gaming, video news, movies and constant web browsing you are going to kill your battery fast.no matter which phone you use.they are not lap tops.i do use Razr for some gaming. but i no the price.so i keep it light.

Good point, I'd forgotten the screen timeout tweak. Seems the screen is always the main power hog. Hey, do these charge from the HDMI cable? That'd be nice. I just got one and now that I've gotten Netfliz working again I might actually make use of it.

Bebeau25 has a mirroring review at

In it you can see that w/the HDMI connected the Battery indicator in the Notification Area doesn't show to be charging. I'll check mine tonight.

Sally were you talking about enabling the data in the phone settings? If so it is enabled.  Still nothing.

smashogre, I did the reboot and there is still no data connection..no 3G or 4G.  It won't let me go anywhere.  I guess I will just uninstall and see...Do I need to disable it before I uninstall it?

Shold be able to just uninstall it. Did you know you can do this from the launcher? Tap your launcher icon, scroll to JD, long press and a menu will come up showing several options, one of which is Uninstall.

I like Android!
