Deleting individual texts

Is there a way to delete individual texts in a thread without deleting the entire thread?  Can't seem to find that anywhere.

With the thread open so that you can see the individual texts, have you tried long-pressing the text you want to delete?  You should then get a pop-up with several choices, including Delete.
