I cannot find traditional voicemail on my Droid Max 2 and I do not receive notifications of voicemails on my home screen. I'm missing important messages. Please help. I don't want to dial *86 all day long to check for messages.
So you don't see the Voice Mail app on the phone? Have you gone into your app drawer (the white circle with the 6 dots on it) and looked through all the apps in there for it?
If it's not there, it must have somehow been either uninstalled or disabled. If the former, you should be able to redownload the app from the Playstore. If the latter, you can go into the Application Manager on your phone and look for Voice Mail there, tap on it, and enable it.
Is your phone capable of the visual voicemail? If not you need to dial *86 to access the voicemail. You should check the preferences or settings to verify the notification is on.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.
We want to ensure that you get notified when you receive a voicemail, KEYEDUP. The Motorola Droid Maxx 2 device is Visual Voicemail capable so you should have a red Voice Mail icon somewhere on your device. If you cannot find it, I recommend checking the communities recommendations to make sure that the app is enabled. Also, the Visual Voice Mail application requires a cellular data connection to download the messages to your device. You do want to make sure that your Mobile Data is turned on and enabled.
