So Lately I've BeenDWet Errng About A Serious Question "First Of All Idk Why My Phone Is Capitalizing Every First Letter Of Each Word It's Not Even Auto Spacing LiKe It Should Be EvEn Though The OptioN Is Turned On" But Here's What I've Been Thinking About Since The Droid Razrs Are Suppose To Be Water Repellent. What Would Happen If The Phone Didrrr Get WeT And The Repellent Didn't Work Would That Be Considered A Manufacturer Defect And Would Warrent Replacing The Phone Or Would It Be Considered Liquid Damaged And Void The Warranty?. I've Seen Videos On YouTube Where People Have Put Their PhOne In A Bowl Or Even A Bathtub Full Of Water And Pulled The PhoNE Out 20 Seconds Or Longer Out Of The Water And Placed A Call On The Phone Or Something And It Worked Perfectly Fine Then I've Seen Others Where They Put It In Water Pulled It Out And The Phone Was Dead. Just Like A Cell Phone That Didn't Have The Water Repellent On The Board. My BOy Friend Today Was Messing Around And Wanted To Put My Phone In The DOg Bowl But After Seeing Some Work  Just Fine And Others Dye I Was Freaked Out And Had To Threaten Wet Remove A Vital Part Of His Body Lol. But Honestly If The Phone Has This Repellent On It And It Stopped Working After Getting wet Would It Be Considered Manufacturer Defect Since The Repellent Didn't Work And It's Advertised As Water Repellent And Be Replaced Or Would The Warranty Be Void For Liquid Damage?

Water repellent is different than water resistant or water proof.

I would keep my phone out of the water as it will not be replaced under warranty.  VZW might replace it but when they get the phone back they will inspect it see corrosion in places and call it water damage and place a charge on your bill for another phone.  Your only choice is to pay it or your phone will get turned off.  It does not make any difference how water resistant/repellent your phone may be.  Don't know what the issue on caps is with your phone but I wonder why it caps some of the last letter as well and I see it also does not spell correctly either.  Hope you figure that issue out or someone comes along here that can tell you how to fix the issue.

Yikes! Lets get that phone to work as it should Weezy1121. Is your CAP on lock? When you are in your keyboard, hold down the CAPS lock completely. Does this only happen in Swift Key?

The Droid Razr Maxx is not water proof. If it is exposed to water, it will void out the warranty of the device. Here is additional information regarding the features of the device: http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/device/smartphone/droid-razr-m

Dear japetty,

Good morning. I thank you and Droid Usrr for very useful information provided. Both of you are correct, water repellant is very different than water resistant.

The Motorola Droid Razr Maxx can certainly still get water damage if exposed to water. If the device has water damage, it would not be covered under the manufactures warranty. If you have insurance, an insurance claim would need to be filed. As mentioned from japetty, sending in a device with water damage would cause your account to be billed a damage device fee of $299 or higher. In the event you need to file an insurance claim, please click http://bit.ly/07CrqPK
