This is not normal behavior for a Motorola phone.  I had similar problems with a Samsung Galaxy S3, never with a Motorola phone.  We have 2 Razr Maxxes  as well as other phones in my household none have signal problems. With readings like yours my wife's GS3 did the same as your Razr, would not hold a call, trouble placing a call, trouble answering a call, call drops guaranteed.  But it was in only one room of our house.  Rebooting, new SIM, factory reset, nothing helped.  Since I didn't go into that room often we swapped phones, my Razr HD for her GS3.  All was fine.  Since then she has gotten a Moto X, I have my HD back, and the GS3 is retired to backup duty.  As a data point my HD currently is reporting 1X -92 dBm and 4G -110 dBm.

Hi breezex,

Thank you for sharing your experience! We want you enjoy the use of the devices. Sorry to hear about your wife's troubles with the GS3. Sounds like all devices are working for you now. You provided a rssi signal reading, have you been able to connect with all of your current devices?

Please let us know if how you service has been.

I still hate it. I am a Moto fan and worked for them for 11 years before moving on and I have always been loyal. The Razr Android has killed all that. First it was the RAZR and then the MAXX and except for a great battery life it has sucked. My Roadster Bluetooth speaker goes off and on all the time, many times it won’t respond and I have to reboot (again) to get them to talk.

Not right.

The femtocel booster (#2) doesn’t seem to make any difference.

The network extender isn't going to boost your 4G LTE data signal unless it is designed to do so. It creates a mini cell tower for voice and 3G signals.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

I am having issues with my replacement Razr also.  My theory is Verizon sent out a bug with the last update to get people to claim insurance thus increasing the bottom line for end of year profits and stock holder shares.  I have to power down at least four times each day.  It freezes up and lags constantly.  Shelled out the $100 (which my insurance brochure says $75) on top of $84 insurance.  Got a "refurbished"  replacement phone.
I agree, it flat out sucks.  I don't do much on the phone.  No Facebook, no Twitter. No printing.  Maybe ten texts and a couple of phone calls each day.

I am now very disappointed with Verizon product and a good 25% of the people I know with Verizon are having issues also.  Luckily, my town is getting more towers and that means other carriers for us to change to.

All current devices (2 Razr Maxxes, 2 Mot Xes, and a Razr HD) connect and work fine at our home, all the rooms.  We bounce between 4G and 3G at times, but that has not been a problem since we are on WiFi at home almost 100% of the time.

MartyMontana,

We definitely want you to enjoy the Bluetooth feature, especially with the Roadster Bluetooth you have. Rebooting that many times is not the expectation we have for these great products and want to restore your confidence in them. We want the love to come back between you and your Maxx. Do you reboot both devices? Please test your phone’s connection to a different Bluetooth. Backup your data and restore your phone http://vz.to/1cmiYYj .

Hi JHWY1234,

I am sorry you're having issues with your device. Are you using any 3rd party apps on your device? Here's a link to use the troubleshooting assistant to determine the issue thereby leading to a resolution http://tiny.cc/9x3l8w. Let me know after using the link on the findings.

Thanks,

BofA Banking app, MLS app, Ekey and Google stuff. No weird apps, games or whatever. I just believe the Devil is in this phone. My wife’s iPhone 4S and my kids iPhones all work flawlessly at my home. My Razr about 50% of the time the call is not dropped or interrupted.

Can’t wait to get rid of it. I use it for business and it costs me $$.

Been to the local Verizon store many times with little or no success. The local sales guy convinced me to buy this phone and I have been paying for it.
